A Public Campaign to Promote "Shared Citizenship": Currently in the planning stage, in the coming months Merchavim will be launching a major new Public Education Campaign to create a more positive "society-building" atmosphere in Israel for the benefit of all those seeking to promote a more open, inclusive and fair future for the benefit of all Israel's citizens.

With the guidance of a prestigious advisory board comprised of senior executives of NGO's engaged in social change and with business people and academicians, the first phase of the campaign, which will also use diverse traditional and new media platforms, will be conducted over three years – beginning early 2010.

Our New School Year: Shared Citizenship programs for all ages as well as in-service training programs for teachers will be in operation this year in over 350 kindergartens and schools across all streams of the educational system (except for independent-Ultra-Orthodox), in cooperation with different departments of the Ministry of Education.

This year we will start disseminating an educational kit called, The "Active Shared Citizenship" for "Fair Access", (see News item below). In addition we will significantly expand our activity across the Jewish-religious school system while continuing to strengthen our relations with rabbis associated with these schools across the religious Zionist sector.
