A Public Campaign to Promote "Shared Citizenship"

  • In recent months Merchavim has been working together with an advisory board comprised of senior NGO executives engaged in social change as well as business people and academicians on a Public Education Campaign that uses diverse traditional and new media platforms.

     

  • NGO implementation and advisory partners include: Agenda, Bemaagali Tzedek, Gesher Hinuhi,  Hoshen, IsraCorps, Israel Association for Ethipian Jews, Melitz, The Arab-Jewish Center in Jaffa, The Citizens' Accord Forum, The Negev Institute, Yahad-Yesodot, Ma’ase, Sikkuy, Olim B’Yahad, Kol Haneshama, Kav Mashveh and Shatil

     

  • The 3rd advisory board meeting was held at the beginning of this month. Among other things, the meeting addressed the findings of the Focus Groups that were conducted with diverse groups represented within Israeli society and the advertising challenges facing the campaign.

This month, two “Shared Citizenship” teacher training seminars were conducted at Beit Yetziv for 43 veteran Merchavim teachers.. The uniqueness of these seminars is expressed by the diversity of their participants: kindergarten, primary and secondary school teachers, secular and religious, Jews and Arabs from all over the country
