Resource Development Associate – part-time position

Established in 1998, Merchavim is an apolitical Israeli nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting greater diversity, inclusion, and fairness in classrooms, communities, and society at-large. Operating across all sectors and groups, Merchavim is a pioneer in promoting social cohesion in a broad way.

The Resource Development Associate, working closely with the Resource Development Director, will contribute to Merchavim’s fundraising efforts in Israel and internationally. The position is part-time (40-60%) with flexible hours and a work-from-home option (we are headquartered in Lod). The salary ranges from ₪4,500 to ₪6,500 per month depending on the scope of the position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support resource development initiatives in Hebrew and English
  • Maintain and steward relationships with existing donors
  • Research and initiate contact with new potential donors
  • Prepare letters of intent, proposals, applications, reports, and other grant materials for a variety of donors, including foundations, federations, corporations, and individuals
  • Collaborate with accounting and program staff as relevant to project/resource development
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Resource Development Director

 

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in resource development
  • Mother-tongue level Hebrew and fluent English
  • Commitment to Merchavim’s mission
  • Creative, talented, and passionate about writing
  • Organized with effective time-management skills and capable of working under pressure
  • Able to independently complete projects
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills
  • Comfortable with digital tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and Salesforce
