Let’s Talk – A Transitional Program
Let’s Talk – A Transitional Program from Elementary School to Junior High
The “Let’s Talk” program is run in primary schools in the Central District. Through the program, pupils, in 4th – 6th grades, are introduced to conversational Arabic – speaking and initial identification of script. In addition, the program invites pupils to begin a dialog on values related to the recognition of the ‘other’, develop consideration and sensitivity for the language through stories.
As the importance of language learning continuum is understood this program was designed as a transitional program built to support continued Arabic oral development and the expressive ability of pupils. This is achieved through the language of media and strives to continue the learning process of Arabic script by strengthening the students’ ability to read literary works and newspaper clippings.
