Shared Living – Community Archeology in Lod
The Program’s Goals The program’s overall goal is to create significant and deep engagement between Arab and Jewish elementary school grade four pupils in the City of Lod while increasing their knowledge about their heritage, history, and archaeology through joint learning processes and onsite participation in archaeological excavations. The participating partners in this revitalized initiative are: The City of Lod, The Ministry of Education Central District, The Israel Antiquities Authority, A New Way and Merchavim – the Institute for Shared Citizenship in Israel (managing the program, logistics, coordinating and integrating ‘shared society” educational content and administrating the program Steering Committee). The program is made possible by the support of The Morningstar Foundation
